Are you unexpectedly being prompted to upgrade? You might have signed into Shift with the wrong email! Learn how to determine what account you're signed into Shift with and how to sign out. 👩🎓
How to find out what email you're signed into Shift with
The main email you first used to sign in to Shift will be your Primary Shift Account. Your Primary Shift account will always have the words Primary Shift Account underneath it when you hover your mouse over it in your sidebar. Your Primary email account will appear at the top of your sidebar:

How to sign out of Shift (Mac)
- With Shift open and in focus, go to the upper left corner of your screen and click on “Shift” next to the Apple menu
- Click “Sign out of Shift” and follow the prompt
NOTE: When you sign out of Shift, your local data will be cleared, including your browsing history, any opened tabs, and saved passwords. You will need to re-authenticate all your added emails and apps after signing in again.

How to sign out of Shift (Windows)
- Click the three horizontal lines in the upper left corner
- Click "Application" from the drop-down menu
- Click "Sign out of Shift" and follow the prompt
NOTE: When you sign out of Shift, your local data will be cleared, including your browsing history, any opened tabs, and saved passwords. You will need to re-authenticate all your added emails and apps after signing in again.
