Wondering how to sign in and create an account? Or what kind of devices and email types are supported? This article is for you!

Thanks for giving Shift a whirl! We're excited to have you here. A few quick noteworthy items for you to note before you create your Shift account ✅.

Supported devices

Shift is currently supported on Mac and Windows (Windows 10 and above) operating systems. Shift does not support Chrome OS, tablets, mobile devices, or devices in "tablet" mode. Before downloading, it’s important to note that we recommend you have at least 8Gb or more RAM on your computer for Shift to run smoothly (16Gb is ideal). You can download Shift directly from our website here: Download Shift.

Supported email types

Shift currently supports Gmail/GSuite hosted by Google, and Outlook/Office 365 hosted by Microsoft. You must use one of these supported email types to create a Shift account. The email you use to sign into Shift for the very first time is your Primary Shift Account. This is the account you'll need to use if you ever need to sign out of Shift and back in or use Shift on another computer. More on that here.

IMPORTANT: It's recommended you create a Shift account using a standalone email that is not an alias of or linked/forwarded to any other email.

How to sign in and create a new Shift account

Getting started with Shift is easy! After you download Shift, create a new Shift account by logging into a Google or Microsoft account (see above for supported email types). After you log in using your email, your Shift account is created!

Note: You'll need to also agree to our Privacy PolicyTerms of Use and End User License Agreement first before creating a new account

If you choose to upgrade, your Primary Shift Account (the email you've used to create your Shift account) is the email account your paid features (Advanced subscription) will be tied to.
